Quenching and tempering: 840 ± 10 ℃ water quenching or oil quenching (depending on the complexity of the shape of the product), 680-700 degrees tempering. HB <217

Quenching and tempering: 840 ± 10 ℃ oil quenching, then 470 degrees tempering. HRC41-45

Quenching and tempering: 840 ± 10 ℃ oilquenching, then tempering 480 degrees. HRC35-45

Quenching and tempering: 850 ℃ oil quenching, then tempering 510 degrees. HRC38-42

Quenching and tempering: 850 ℃ oil quenching, and then tempering 500 degrees. HRC40-43

42CrMo steel belongs to ultra-high strength steel with high strength,toughness and good hardenability, no significant temper brittleness. After quenching and tempering, it has higher fatigue limit and resistance to multiple impact ability, impact toughness is good at low temperature.

The steel is suitable for the production of large and middle plastic mold with high strength and toughness.
