Intermediate frequency induction heating utilizes the principle of electromagnetic induction to generate an alternating magnetic field on the surface of a steel rod, causing an induced current inside the steel rod and achieving rapid heating.
During quenching, the steel rod heated to the quenching temperature is quickly placed in a cooling medium to obtain a high hardness martensitic structure.
Tempering is the process of heating quenched steel bars to eliminate quenching stress, improve toughness and stability.
