1. When the alternating current generated by the induction heating power supply passes through the induction coil, an alternating electromagnetic field will be generated inside the coil.
2. Metal workpieces such as steel bars are placed inside induction coils, and alternating magnetic fields will cut the steel bars, inducing alternating currents inside the steel bars.
3. Due to the skin effect, the current is mainly concentrated on the surface of the steel rod, causing the surface to be rapidly heated to the temperature required for quenching or tempering.
Quenching process: The heated steel rod quickly enters the cooling system, usually using water spray cooling or other cooling methods to rapidly cool the surface of the steel rod, forming a martensitic structure, thereby improving the hardness and wear resistance of the steel rod.
Tempering process: After quenching, the steel rod enters the induction heating furnace again, heated to the tempering temperature, and then subjected to appropriate insulation to adjust the internal structure of the steel rod, eliminate quenching stress, and improve the toughness and plasticity of the steel rod.
